Pumpkins, farms, and leaves - oh, my!  Fall is in full swing and so is our fall programming!

The Littles favorite things today were the bells and puppets.

Songs
Welcome Song - Sing With Me
from The Richards Institute of Education and Research - Education Through Music

Sing with me altogether,
Sing with me altogether,
Sing with me altogether,
Won’t you be my darling?

Stomp with me altogether,
Stomp with me altogether,
Stomp with me altogether,
Won’t you be my darling

You can add in other actions like bounce, bend, twist, wink, tap, jump, wiggle, tiptoe.  I like to end with sit with me altogether to help transition The Littles to our next activity.

Oats, Peas, Beans
From Let’s Do It Again! By Mary Helen Richards of The Richards Institute of Education and Research

Oats, peas, beans, and barley grow

Oats, peas, beans, and barley grow
Oats, peas, beans, and barley grow
Nor you (point to the crowd)
Nor I (point to self)
Nor anyone knows (shrug)
How oats, peas, beans, and barley grow

First the farmer (hold up index finger for 1st)
Sews the seed (pretend to scatter seeds)
Then he stands and takes his ease (stand with arms folded like you are relaxing)
He stamps his foot (stamp foot)
And claps his hands (clap hands)
And turns around (turn around)
To view the land (have hand above eyes like you are shielding your eyes from the sun)
Songs with Bells
Shake! from We Kids Rock
Picture
If You're Happy & You Know It Shake Your Bells
To the tune of If You’re Happy and You Know It

If You’re happy and you know it shake your bells
If you’re happy and you know it shake your bells
If you’re happy and you know it and you really want to show it
If you’re happy and you know it shake your bells
We Wiggle and Wiggle and Stop
We wiggle and wiggle and stop
We wiggle and wiggle and stop
We wiggle and wiggle and wiggle and wiggle
and wiggle and wiggle and stop

We shake and shake and stop
We shake and shake and stop
We shake and shake and shake and shake
And shake and shake and stop

Action Rhyme
To the tune of Are You Sleeping?
From The Mailbox Songs & Rhymes on Parade, p. 6

Leaves are falling,
Leaves are falling.

All around,
All around.

I can see a red leaf,
I can see a red leaf.

On the ground,
On the ground.

* Repeat with other fall leaf colors brown, orange, yellow

The rooster said “Cock-a-doodle-doo!”

The cow said “Moo!”

The sheep said “Baa.”

The horse said “Neigh.”

The dog said “Woof.”

The cat said “Meow.”

The mouse said “squeak.”
