Clipart by Krista Wallden of Creative Clips. Graphic designed on PicMonkey.
Today's storytime was all things that started with the letter Bb.

This was a really fun storytime theme because there is so much you can do with it!  I chose to focus today's storytime  on books, bears, and bunnies.

Needless to say, we had a Blast ;-D

Letter of the Week: Bb
We talked about all of the pictures in the collage.  We voted on our favorite "B" sport - baseball or basketball.

Songs We Sang
Hello Song: We Wave Hello Like This
To the tune of “The Farmer in the Dell”

We wave hello like this
We wave hello like this
We clap our hands for all our friends
We wave hello like this

We wave hello like this
We wave hello like this
We clap our hands for all our friends
We wave hello like this

If You're a Reader and You Know It
Credit: Storytime Katie
To the tune of “If You’re Happy and You Know It”

If you’re a reader and you know it, clap your hands
If you’re a reader and you know it, clap your hands
If you’re a reader and you know it and you really want to show it
If you’re a reader and you know it, clap your hands

If you’re a reader and you know it, shout hooray
If you’re a reader and you know it, shout hooray
If you’re a reader and you know it and you really want to show it
If you’re a reader and you know it, shout hooray

If you’re a reader and you know it, read a book
If you’re a reader and you know it, read a book
If you’re a reader and you know it and you really want to show it
If you’re a reader and you know it, read a book

Bunny Pokey
Credit: N. Lawton
To the tune of “The Hokey Pokey”

You put your front paws in, you put your front paws out,
You put your front paws in and you wiggle them all about.
You do the bunny-pokey and you turn yourself around.
That's what it's all about!

You put your back paws in, you put your back paws out,
You put your back paws in, and you thump them all about.
You do the bunny-pokey and you turn yourself around.
That's what it's all about!

You put your tail in, you put your tail out,
You put your tail and you shake it all about.
You do the bunny pokey and you turn yourself around.
That's what it's all about!

Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear
Credit: Storytime Katie

Teddy bear, teddy bear, turn around
Teddy bear, teddy bear, touch the ground
Teddy bear, teddy bear, reach up high
Teddy bear, teddy bear, touch the sky
Teddy bear, teddy bear, touch your knees
Teddy bear, teddy bear, sit down, please

We Wave Goodbye Like This
To the tune of “The Farmer in the Dell”

We wave goodbye like this
We wave goodbye like this
We clap our hands for all our friends
We wave goodbye like this

We wave goodbye like this
We wave goodbye like this
We clap our hands for all our friends
We wave goodbye like this

Let's Take a Look at This Book
Credit: Jbrary

Let’s take a look at this book
Here is the cover
We open it wide
Here are the pages hidden inside
There are words and pictures
We look and we look
And when we are finished
We close up the book

Little Bunny
Credit: Storytime Katie

I saw a little rabbit go hop, hop, hop
I told that little rabbit to stop, stop, stop
He wiggled his ears and crinkled his nose
And wiggled, wiggled, wiggled right down to his toes.

Five Little Bunnies
Credit: Lil Country Librarian

5 little bunnies hopping on the floor,
One hopped away and then there were four.

4 little bunnies as sweet as can be,
One hopped away and then there were three.

3 little bunnies I once knew,
One hopped away and then there were two.

2 little bunnies, oh what fun!
One hopped away and then there was one.

One little bunny, playing in the sun,
One hopped away and then there were none.

Clap, Slap, Tap
Credit:  Fingerplays & Action Rhymes

Clap, clap, clap, clap   (clap hands)
Slap, slap, slap, slap  (slap legs)
Tap, tap, tap, tap (tap hands on head)
