Outcome 2D: Develop appropriate responses to information needs
In LIS 724 Integrating Technology into Programming, we were tasked with using screen capturing software to create a tutorial for a library resource or database. I created a tutorial on downloading materials from Overdrive. Patrons can access Overdrive through their computer or smart device using their library barcode and pin.
I chose to develop this tutorial because I thought it would be useful to my patrons. I have taught patrons how to use Overdrive on their devices in the library but I also want them to be able to call upon a resource later from the comforts of their home. I believed that a video tutorial would empower them to take advantage of the databases and online materials that my library offers.
